The EASIEST Rustic DIY Wood Magnets Made From a Ruler.
Hiiii guys! How are you doing? I hope your week is going fabulous! I have been making so many different fun crafts lately. These magnets turned out to be one of my favorite DIY crafts. I’ve sold them at many of my craft events and give them away as gifts. On the other hand, it makes me want to keep them all for myself! Seriously, I adore them.
But really you won’t even believe what they are made out of! Truth be told, it’s rulers that I cut into small pieces! It was such a good idea. Which most importantly they were so affordable! Even though they barely cost anything to make they looked like they would have cost a lot to make. Isn’t saving money on crafts the best thing ever?

Truly I have been making wood magnets for a while now. Because I just love how easy and cute they are. You will love making these simple rustic magnets. They barely cost anything to make!
Items you will need:
First you will start with your rulers. I cute them into pieces that were 2.5-3 inches long.
Once they were cut into pieces I lightly sanded the sides to smooth the edges. Then stained them with Minwax Dark Walnut.
I stained and painted them with acrylic paint.
I painted them using stencils as well as hand painted designs.
Once the paint was dry I hot glued a strip of magnet on the back of the wood piece.
Here is the finished project you guys!
